Peter Parker's story in the MCU takes place in the Earth-616 universe. Born on August 10, 2001, in Forest Hills, Queens, he is primarily raised by his Aunt May after the passing of his Uncle Ben. At a young age, Peter is saved from Ivan Vanko's robotic drones by Iron Man, fueling his admiration for him. While attending high school at the Midtown School of Science and Technology in 2015, Peter is bitten by a radioactive spider, giving him superhuman abilities. He constructs a homemade Spider-Man suit, designing it as a red and blue hoodie equipped with his web-shooters. In 2016, Tony Stark recruits Peter to join his conflict with Steve Rogers, sending him to Germany and giving him a new Spider-Man suit. Peter later faces Adrian Toomes, who deduces Peter is Spider-Man after discovering Toomes is the father of his crush Liz. After defeating Toomes, Stark offers Peter a place in the Avengers, but Peter declines, preferring to focus on local activities in Queens. In 2018, Peter helps Stark fight Cull Obsidian and follows Ebony Maw into space, landing on the planet Titan where they confront Thanos. Peter falls victim to the Blip but is resurrected in 2023 and assists in defeating an alternate 2014 Thanos. After Stark's death, Peter goes on a school trip to Europe where he meets Quentin Beck, who tricks Peter into giving him E.D.I.T.H., an AI created by Stark. Beck reveals Peter's identity to the world, leading Peter to seek Strange's help, which fractures the multiverse and brings alternate versions of Spider-Man and their enemies. After Aunt May's death, Strange casts a spell that erases the world's knowledge of Peter's civilian persona. Four years later, Parker has been anonymously protecting New York City as its celebrated hero Spider-Man, although he struggles in his personal life. Due to the arrival of a mutant named Jean Grey, Peter must protect the city with the help of Frank Castle, and he also discovers changes in his powers.
